PFAPA (Marshall syndrome)
The main features are:
- Fever attacks lasting 3 to 5 days (often very high degree with chills and general malaise)
- Throat pain (related to pharyngitis)
- Glands (balls under the skin) at the neck
- Mouth ulcerations (aphthae)
- Abdominal pain, headaches and leg pain
Crises become very regular over time.
